SAN FRANCISCO, CA — For musicians and promoters looking for technology, marketing, branding, industry & general advice, an academic resource has arrived in San Francisco. In the heart of the Mission district, the SF Musician & Promoter Workshop provides 90 minutes of valuable instruction, interactive panel discussions, and networking opportunities for artists, bands, promoters and music industry professionals looking to build sustainable connections and utility to their publics.
Workshop 2 focuses on Social Network & Social Media Case Studies, How-To sessions, and a 45 minute group discussion about how to turn a potential fan into a passive fan.
Previous workshop contributors include Marisol Segal, Ali Watkins, Jessica Zollman. Watkins, Zollman and Dustin Mitchell of Indiequick.com are the assistant instructors for Workshop 2, led by founder Corey Denis. The entire workshop series is sponsored by Porto Franco Records, a San Francisco based record label working to create and sustain a collective support system for musicians sustained by the SF community.
